Hi, im coming back to GW after a few months break. I do not have Nightfall at the moment and I would like to try to finish getting my wolf (kinda close). what are some builds of popular/high success teams that do not require NF skills that I could do? im pretty skilled w/ ranger, monk and warrior. more skilled at necro and ele.

Warrior is rarely run in HA nowadays, and if they are, they usually have Shadow prison as their elite- Nightfall only.

I can't remember which Chapter Icy veins is.

Mesmer may be one of the only classes you can play without needing nightfall (pd mesmer with domination, or MoR mesmer). Many of the crucial monk, ele, ranger, ritualist, and assassin skills require nightfall. Warrior isn't super popular in HA anymore compared to sins, but you can still try to find a group with one (that doesn't require crippling slash, that is). Necro spike groups are still possible to join (even though you'll be missing signet of sorrow--one of the two spike skills), but you won't be able to play a degen necro since reaper's mark is one of the main degens.

ya i just havnt gotten it yet. i just re downloaded GW client off the website like 2 days ago.

so mesmers and icy veins necros dont use any nightfall skills?

Loads of peopel still use evistacte/shock wars. You could always make your own team and play a warrior without nf skills xD

i think its good to have nf so that you won't b limited on running the builds.

You're right. You do miss out on Shield of Absorption and a lot of awesome elites though. But it's doable if you take SoD, SoR or RC.

It's nice to have NF just to have it even though there are plenty of builds that don't need it. I'd hate to be you trying to find a guild and telling them you don't have nightfall.

Having nightfall mean you can play more builds and can change your build to suit the team.

Most teams do not want people without nf unless it is totally unneeded or you are the leader.
